I am headed out to Vegas this weekend for Virtuoso Travel Week…to say I am excited would be an understatement. The week long event is being held entirely at my favorite Vegas hotel, The Bellagio. So, not surprisingly, I have Bellagio on my mind.
But the Bellagio I am dreaming of today is not in Vegas…It is a village in Italy, which has been inhabited since the prehistoric days.
Bellagio, Italy is a small village on Lake Como…and one of the prettiest towns in all of Italy…which is, of course, saying a lot given the many beautiful towns in Italy.
Let’s take a little virtual vacay to Lake Como and the village of Bellagio…

Gorgeous, Sandy. I've always wanted to go. Waiting for that invitation from Mr. Clooney, but alas it hasn't arrived! I'm a big fan of lake life and an Italian lake is all the better!
We are buttoning up plans for an Iceland/Scotland getaway… but Italy sure would be lovely!

You asked for any of our favorites: The Old Edwards Inn & Spa in Highlands, NC. We discovered it 3 years ago and just completed our FIFTH stay. It's fair to say we're in LOVE. Beautiful elegant European feeling mountain town. But the Hotel is the most amazing. I can recommend the newly completed 'Falls Cottages' in particular. They have a good website to check it all out.

I see someone else also noticed that the top photo is of Varenna…a beautiful town that I was lucky enough to be married in back in 2009! Oh what a beautiful area…*sigh*.
