If you are a regular reader here, then you know I am often praising the virtues of booking an island vacation in the “shoulder season”. My clients recently did just that, booking a family vacation to celebrate the end of the school year. I was able to get them a fantastic deal in Jamaica at the luxurious and iconic, Half Moon, A Rock Resort.
Having hosted a range of celebrities from Prince Harry, Jackie O to 50 Cent, Half Moon is a 400-acre luxury resort located on Jamaica’s North
Coast. It features two miles of private, white-sand
beach with 197 spacious rooms and suites. Half Moon also offers guests a wide variety of amenities and activities
including the multi-award winning Fern Tree, The Spa at Half Moon™, a
Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed 18-hole golf course, Half Moon Golf
Academy, Spinning® studio, 13 lit tennis courts, equestrian centre,
fitness centre, 54 swimming pools, a teen activity centre, the colourful
Anancy Children’s Village, water sports and a dolphin lagoon.

Right now they are offering some generous 4th night free packages, along with Virtuoso amenities of daily breakfast and a $100 resort credit. Wouldn’t your family LOVE it if you surprised them with a vacation like this to celebrate the start of summer?

Sandy,
Good morning! You always have the best advice! This resort is beautiful, and looks like a nice relaxing place to rest, read and have a cocktail by the pool.
I hope that you are having a great week! Enjoy your day!

Montego Bay is one of the few spots in Jamaica we do not know well. We lived in Port Maria and know most of the north coast well, but we only visited Montego Bay on the day we flew home.
