Even before I became a travel advisor, I couldn’t wait for the release of various lists of the best hotels in the world. My favorite listing – Virtuoso’s Best of the Best – is the gold standard listing of the world’s great hotels.
Here are a few highlights from the 2015 issue…
So tell me…what is on YOUR “best of the best” list?

For me, the simple, BROKE and adventurous traveler, the best is a place that is clean, simple and close to the beach or places of interest. That's it! BUT….if I could, I'd stay in a fancy hotel just once for the pampering!

I spy the Rosewood, where PVE and I had drinks when we were in London in March. It was fantastic! Can't wait to see the entire list. We try to choose Virtuoso hotels first because they are always lovely and the little extra perks we receive. My all time favorite hotel has to be the Borgo Santo Pietro in Tuscany. I honestly would live there if I could!
Happy Wednesday, Sandy! XOXO

To be honest, I don't think I've stayed in any of the super lux hotels I've seen here, the Bellagio and some 5 star hotels in the Philippines would probably be considered good, but not the best. Someday for sure, when all my kids are grown up and it's just me and the hubs, I will. 🙂

I'm not one for wanting the "best" because it usually comes with a price.
We like to find little out of the way small places to stay.
The best place we stayed this past year was L'Auberge in Carmel. Our room was small – in an attic – but we loved it.

We spent an amazing week at the Enchantment Resort in Sedona, AZ and would say that's the best place for a girls' weekend away. We were pampered from the moment we stepped foot on the property. We'd love to add some of these best of the best to our list of bests!
