Wow…it is crazy to think that it is the last day of 2014! This year has FLOWN by! More than once recently, I have found my eyes tearing up with happiness over the blessings that have come my way this year. Other than major life moments like getting married and the births of my three children, I can honestly say that this has been one of the best years of my life.ย What a wonderful feeling!
Here are a few highlights from the blog in 2014…
In January…while most of the country was in the midst of one of the worst winters on record, it isn’t surprising my most popular posts of the month were Endless Summer at The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and Four Seasons Punta Mita.
In February…A personal and reader favorite was when I participated in The Pink Pagoda’s “Blue and White Bash” showcasing the stunning blue and white decor of the JK Place Capri!
In March…we headed to California to soak up a little sunshine. My posts about our trip were the most popular of the month: Los Angeles, Laguna and San Diego.
In April…far and away the most popular post of the month as What Would You Choose ~ Palm Beach…where I headed myself later in the month!
In May…my favorite post of the month was a virtual visit to a gorgeous villa in Provence. The reader fave was a guest post by bestselling author, Jennifer Coburn, on traveling with her daughter.
In June…I asked readers “What is the most beautiful place you have ever visited?” in my favorite post of the month. France, Italy, Ireland and Hawaii were just a few of the commenters choices. Readers loved my Wednesday Wanderlust visit to Cap Estel on the French Riviera.
In July…I participated in Castle Crowns and Cottages’ “Simply Irresistible Europe” Linking Party with a post on the Lesser Known Islands of Italy – hands down my favorite and the most popular post of the month. And, I was thrilled to meet some of my favorite fellow bloggers in person at a lunch that Tina (The Enchanted Home) and I hosted here in Greenwich!
In August…I headed to Vegas for Virtuoso Travel Week…and readers loved my round up when I returned – the favorite was Australia and New Zealand.
In September…I was thrilled to share my new favorite travel product – the EMME bag – and the opening of the latest luxury hotel in Paris, The Peninsula…the two most popular posts of the month.
In October…I packed my bags and hit the road in a big way – to DC, Florida, California and Asia! My review of the Capella Hotel in Washington, DC and the guest posts by PvE Design and Pretty Pink Tulips were all favorites in October!
In November…our travels in Asia continued until mid-month, followed by massive jet lag! Favorite posts of the month were those about our travels – Kyoto, Tokyo and Singapore – as well as guest posts by Pine Cones and Acorns, Mocadeaux and The Enchanted Home.
In December…I shared highlights of our trip to Hong Kong as well as our visit to the iconic Raffles Singapore in the two favorite posts of readers. AND, I had all three of my children home for Christmas – best gift EVER!Here is a quick recap of my year in Instagram photos…
Wow…what a year!!! I can’t wait to ring in 2015…I hope it offers as many adventures as this year did!
Happy New Year!!!

Hi Sandy,
As you can tell, I've had a hard time getting to my computer these past couple of weeks!!! ๐ From a sick household and house guests, December was not my most productive month. But, looking back on 2014, it was a wonderful year, in large part thanks to you. Not only did you help us plan and experience an incredible trip to Florence and Rome, but I so enjoyed our meetings and chats in the preceding months. Definitely part of the journey and the fun!!!! I'm so happy to know that you had a banner year in 2014. I have no doubts that your adventures will continue this year and that it will be another amazing year for you!
Here's to 2015!!!!!
xoxo Elizabeth
