Don’t we appreciate the Spring weather and flowers a bit more after we have endured a difficult winter? My heart jumped with joy yesterday when I turned over the page in my calendar to the month of April. This month, I hope to take every opportunity I can to stop and enjoy the sunshine and the gorgeous flowers when they finally bloom around here.

This week, I have been planning a trip to Amsterdam for a client, which has renewed my desire to visit The Netherlands. Seeing the tulips in bloom has been on my bucket list since I was a little girl…it is time to move that up to the top!
In the meantime, I will just have to make do with photos.
Won’t you take a little virtual trip with me today to the see the famous Holland blossoms?

Have you ever been to The Netherlands in the Spring? What is your favorite way to enjoy this lovely time of year?

WOW. Sandy, one of my first and constant blogger friends and "zuster" (sister, in Dutch) lives in there, and I want to go to not only see these magical canal ways and flowers, but to meet HERE. The Dutch bloggers I have come to know are so inventive, kind, and gracious, and I want to see their country. What a lovely post today, and we had snow yesterday! I am on "spring" break and I'm enjoying my time off, but I can't go out in the garden yet until late May to really get my hands dirty! Enjoy your day! Anita
DREAMS ON 34th STREET ~ French Bread & Family says
In the Summer between my junior and senior year of high school I was in Europe on a travel study program. We spent a week studying on The Jan Backx, a ship, that was also a boy's school, in the Rotterdam harbor.
A very special event in history happened during my stay in the Netherlands.
We set our alarms for 4:00am to watch the first landing on the moon, and for the day that Neil Armstrong took one giant leap for mankind.
On the day of the moon landing, the proprietors in the community around the harbor would not let us pay for food or drink because of America's historic accomplishment.
We took day trips to Amsterdam to visit the museums and to attend a ballet. We ate wonderful Indonesian food before the ballet.
I taught the cooks on the ship to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Your images are beautiful. I hope that you are able to see the tulips bloom abroad one day.

So beautiful, Sandy. And how fun to be planning a trip there for a client. We have a bike trip through The Netherlands on our bucket list, too. Closer to home, there are some glorious tulip fields just north of us – about an hour away on I-5. I'm hoping we can take the time to get up there and see them, it's an extraordinary sight. Until then, you tulip post has totally brightened my day. Enjoy celebrating spring! XOXO
