Happy Friday everyone! This week has been busy, busy, busy for me…how about for you?
We got a taste of Summer here in the Northeast this week…followed by some pretty typical April showers. It was just enough of a taste for me to be ready for Spring so the various posts and articles that caught my eye this week tended to involved flowers…enjoy!

What’s in bloom right now at the New York Botanical Gardens? Find out here. One of the things I love most about the NYBG is the constantly changing flowers in bloom. This time of year you could go once a week and see something differnt each time. The Orchid Show lasts another week so this weekend would be your chance to see early spring flowers AND orchids.
Marsha, from Splenderosa, shared some gorgeous pictures of Texas bluebonnets that are currently in bloom.

Although slightly delayed this year (and then put at risk by this week’s heat wave), Washington’s famous cherry blossoms are currently at their peak.
The Huffington Post sums up the social media buzz accompanying their arrival here.

Luxury Travel Advisor has great information on traveling to the Netherlands just in time to experience the famous Keukenhof Tulip Festival which should peak mid to late April.

It’s not too late to plan a May trip to London in time to visit the Chelsea Flower Shower taking place from May 21 -25. Jeanne from Collage of Life featured the adorable garden houses that were showcased at last year’s show (and don’t forget this guest post by Linda of Calling it Home on the Chelsea Flower Show).
I hope you all have a beautiful weekend and are able to enjoy some Spring blooms where ever you may be wandering!

Beautiful Sandy! I'll check out all the links! We are expecting a cold front to come in over the weekend with snow in the foothills. I'm glad I haven't visited the nursery and started planting yet. We always get these cold snaps at this time of year and they destroy my potted flowers!
Have a wonderful weekend:)
