In honor of The Pink Pagoda’s Blue and White Bash today, let’s head out to sunny California once again to visit the iconic Shutters On The Beach in Santa Monica…
As the only hotel “on the sand” in Los Angeles, Shutters evokes a sense of comfortable elegance that one would find in a beach home, while affording panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and California coastline. The use of blue and white throughout the hotel – both in the rooms and common areas – picks up on the vibrant blues of the sky and the ocean.
Not what you expect from your typical LA hotel, right?
It is so comfy and casually elegant…I could move right in!

This looks like the perfect hotel for our family. Cali is near the top of the list for next year. Will have to keep this in our "file"!!!

The way different shades of blue have been used in different patterns is lovely and I particularly like the striped chair. A very attractive hotel.

I love Shutters but it isn't correct to say that Shutters is the "only hotel on the sand in Los Angeles". Casa Del Mar is a hotel and is next door to Shutters…
