Since not everyone can make it to New York at Christmas, I am going to bring a little of that New York magic to you. Each day this week I will be featuring the remarkable holiday window decorations from five iconic NYC stores.

First up, Saks Fifth Avenue’s “Snowflake Spectacular” featuring the fuzzy and adorable Yeti, who lives on Saks’ rooftop and makes snow. The short video below is a “must see” of the stunning 3-D light show that is projected onto the Saks building throughout the holiday season.

In addition to the light show, Yeti stars in the six fully animated windows.

That light show was amazing. We got 6 inches this weekend, how do you hold up?

OMG, thanks for sharing this Sandy, the light show is truly spectacular! have to show it to my kids! I still do miss seeing those robotic shows that the stores used to have in the old days – crude but I think equally beautiful and fun too!

What a fabulous 3D light show – both cute and clever. I particularly enjoyed the skaters. I'm recently back from London where I took numerous photos of the store window displays.

I want some snow over here…and all we got was ice. I love the story behind the Yeti…I didn't know it. That was so fun.
