The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is an annual event at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in March. It is the world’s oldest and largest indoor flower show, attracting more than 260,000 people annually. The Show features large-scale gardens, elaborate landscapes, and over-the-top floral creations.
Visitors to the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show are treated to fabulous design, live entertainment, culinary demonstrations, gardening how-to workshops, and lectures by experts. Show week begins with an exclusive black-tie Preview Party and After Party, one of Philadelphia’s premier events. Proceeds from the Show support PHS, particularly the City Harvest program, which feeds more than 1,000 families each week during the growing season
The 2014 Flower Show opens on Saturday, March 1 and will close on Sunday, March 9.
The Philadelphia Flower Show
Today, the very talented Rosemary from NYC Style and A Little Cannoli has wandered over to guest post about the Philadelphia Flower Show. If you haven’t seen Rosemary’s blog, she combines her love of delicious food (particularly desserts) and interesting things to see around New York City. I love checking in to see which yummy treat or unique tour she is showcasing each day. My favorite post is her annual Must See Museum List – bookmark this one!
So…let’s go wandering with Rosemary to the Philadelphia Flower Show…

I was very honored to be asked by Sandy to write a guest post for her. She is one of the nicest ladies I have had the pleasure of meeting in the blogging world! I decided to show you the 2013 Philadelphia Flower Show which took place a few weeks ago. We are all about done with this winter weather on the East Coast, and this show always makes me so ready for spring. I have attended many shows, and they are always so amazing in the design and art they bring to life. Some of the past shows have included Italy (one of my faves) along with Springtime in Paris, which was just gorgeous beyond belief. This year it was a tribute to Great Britain and everything that makes it famous to the world. Are you ready?
This was as you entered the show which was quite a site to see.
The Tower of London which holds…
The Crown Jewels!
These pearls reminded me so much of Chanel I really would have bought it if it was for sale.
This was the Sceptre of Scotland.
This looks like a place where Henry the 8th would have his dinner!
I believe this was from the Austin Powers movie and I thought it was quite amazing.
There is a whole section of vendors at the show who sell many items such as plants, garden products, these great fairies for your yard, food items and jewelry.
There had to be an exhibit showing rain since that is a famous weather forecast for this country. Loved this shot with the flowers and umbrella.
Hats are very big in England and they had many made of flowers which were fabulous. This was one of my favorites.
The Philadelphia Flower Show for 2014 will be titled Articulture and should be quite interesting.
Here is some information from their website:
A big Thank You to Sandy for allowing me to guest post. Please stop by my blog for some info on New York City events, tours and great food items. I would be thrilled to have you come by for a visit!

Such an enjoyable post from Rosemary (whose blog I love!) So many creative floral arrangements here. The hat with the Union Jack design is fun and the pearls are lovely.
