Happy 2013!! For my first post of the year and this week’s Wednesday Wanderlust, I want to share one of my family’s favorite tropical getaways, the Ritz Carlton Club in St. Thomas.
After the rush of the holidays and the cold days of January and February ahead of us, who wouldn’t like to escape to the islands?
The club residences are luxuriously furnished 2 and 3 bedrooms with living rooms, dining rooms and fully equipped kitchens making them the perfect spot to take the whole family or for two couples traveling together.
The Ritz Carlton Hotel that shares the property is also lovely, but I enjoy the luxury of having my own “home away from home”.
Do not miss a snorkeling trip or sunset cruise on the property’s own luxury catamaran, The Lady Lynsey.
The Ritz Carlton Club, St. Thomas is part of the Ritz Carlton Destination Club, a fractional ownership program. However, Club Residences are available for weekly rentals through a variety of sources such as McLaughlin Anderson or through vacation rental sites such as VRBO or Flipkey. Occasionally, the Ritz Carlton Club will offer rental options such as this one, so if you are interested you may want to contact them directly to find out if they have any rentals available.
When can we leave???
Oh that looks sooooo good right about now:) We have been there, twice in fact and loved it. Its a very relaxing, serene resort, a quiet island and just what a vacation should be about. I can have my bags packed in 15 minutes flat!

What a perfect way to welcome in the new year!!! Would you believe that is one of the places that Grant and I spent our honeymoon. I've been on that catamaran!!!
And, was just talking to him about their fractional plan, but love that we could grab something through other sources, too, which is how we ended up doing Paris. Might need to bend your ear on this. How long have you been a member?

Elizabeth, send me an e-mail if you want to hear more about the fractional ownership – we are not members, but I have done a lot of research into it and have stayed at all the Ritz Clubs except the ski resorts, as well as a few Four Seasons. Actually your comment gave me a good idea for a future post on destination clubs!
