Pretend for a moment that you can blink your eyes and be magically transported away for the perfect weekend to view the fall foliage at its peak…you can feel the chill in the air and smell the woody scent of the first fires of the season. Which would you choose?

Tough choice, isn’t it?

It's certainly a very touch choice as there are so many appealing properties here and stunning scenery. Vermont would be top of the list I think! We love a weekend away in the autumn but it will be somewhere obviously closer to home such as The English Lake District.

Honestly, there is nothing more beautiful than nature is there? On my recent road trip I was treated to a gorgeous show of foliage along the way. I loved that it wasn't "peak" time and there was still lots of green as a backdrop for the lovely reds, oranges and yellows. We've stayed at The American Club a couple of times and it is wonderful but I had to give my vote to The Meadowood because it is Napa!

We've been dying to visit Blackberry Farm so that gets our vote! We love all the colors of fall but seem to only see them by the banks of a lake or river during regattas… Next one is local in Shelton, CT.

Your list should have included the beautiful Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Asheville tops many lists now for great new restaurants in the area.

Hi Sandy wow so many beautiful choices I'm lucky to have been to four of them! BlackBerry Farm has been on my list for a long time so that would probably be my top pick but a close second would be Twin Farms followed by the Mayflower- not a bad one in the bunch!!
They are all spectacular!!

Good evening, Sandy! I have cast my vote, but I must say that Lenox Mass is my choice. I lived in Boston for 11 years, and I love that area. That fireplace, OH! SO GORGEOUS!

Oh, can't all of them be an option? Now I'm really desperate for some fall foliage here in the south.

Sandy,
How did you know that I am in need of a fabulous fall get-away! Love to go to any but I really would love to make it to Blackberry Farm as it looks so idyllic. I have been to the one in Vermont and Washington, CT.
We also love The Emerson up in The Catskills. Even a day at the Spa takes you away.
