I love New England this time of year! We get rewarded for suffering through the bitter cold and snow of winter, by glorious weather in the late Spring.

Wow, Sandy, what a lovely spot. I would love to escape there right now – especially since the June Gloom has descended on Seattle and we are dripping with rain. You are right, New England is full of perfect summer spots. One of my favorites has to be Nantucket. Closer to home, the San Juan Islands are wonderful place for a getaway, or Sun Valley, Idaho, where I was married almost seven years ago.

Good morning Sandy-I'm finally on summer break as of today. I just posted on a 'sunny escape' to Portofino so that would be my pick today-the Italian riviera. You and I are so like minded-love it! This resort looks spectacular. I would be falling asleep over my book on that day bed for sure.

What a lovely and elegant setting! My favorite place around here is the beautiful Hotel del Coronado. They have, in my opinion, the most beautiful beach in all of San Diego and the town of Coronado is fun to stroll or bike through.
Sandy, What amazing spot. I could so feel like I've stepped back in time there! I love the big porches and rooms with views. I just need a few books and I could spend a summer there! Thanks for your note on Hawaii. I wish we had sea-side resorts like this!
