Happy Friday!! It is hard to believe it is finally Memorial Day weekend! Our daughter, Caroline, is coming up from DC for the weekend and we can’t wait to see her!

Hopefully we will have some good weather and manage lots of grilling and chilling…and, no doubt, a little retail therapy too. I am going to take off the next few days from blogging so I can focus on family time. I will be back to posting and commenting next Wednesday!

Try to pause and reflect this weekend, amid the festivities kicking off summer, on the true meaning of Memorial Day. The flags on the tombstones at Arlington always bring a tear to my eye, as my father is buried there after serving our country in the Navy for over two decades.
Have a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend, my friends…wherever you may be wandering!
xoxo

Happy weekend dear Sandy! I caught you before I left for work! Love that bicycle image. I think I'll ride mine this weekend! XOXOX
Enjoy your weekend, sweet Sandy! I'm sure you will with your daughter to hang with!
Oh, how this year has flown by! Let us all take time to remember our troops and their families. Put out our flags and say a prayer for all of them. Have a wonderful weekend with you lovely Caroline.

You should Sandy! Enjoy your already great-start-weekend!
Sounds like a perfect weekend…enjoy the downtime and looks like Sun and Monday are going to be wonderful but a little cool…no complaints here! Enjoy!!

Lovely post, enjoy your weekend!
Good morning darling Sandy! It's Sunday and I hope you have great plans for a lovely day. Thank you my friend for coming to visit me, and your sweet words are always a big hug for me. I had so much fun in my garden yesterday; we worked so hard to clean up winter's mess and by evening we were pleasantly tired. Oh how I love the summer! Big hugs, happy weekend! Anita
The rows and rows of tombstones at Arlington and other military cemeteries are a vivid reminder of those who have served us all. God bless your dad and all the other men and women who have served time in our nation's defense.
I hope you are enjoying your time with your daughter! I can't wait to hear what you all did.
Sandy it sounds as if you had the perfect weekend planned! Family time is the most important time of the day…I have been reorganizing my priorities in that direction.
Have a great day, looking forward to your return.
I hope that you are having a great week! Enjoy whatever you have planned.
