Happy Friday, everyone!! What is everyone up to this weekend? Can you even believe tomorrow is March 1st? There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

We are going to the NY Times Travel Show in the city and will be watching every minute of the Oscars on Sunday night. We still haven’t managed to see Twelve Years A Slave – how is it possible that the expected Oscar winner is not showing in a theater near us??
One of the MANY great things about writing a blog is the interaction with my readers. I have readers from all over the world and I would be crazy NOT to tap them as resources on occasion. SO…today I would like to turn the tables around here…who wants to share some travel tips?
I have trips planned to the following places in the next couple of months and I would LOVE any suggestions for restaurants, shopping or activities (all of our hotels are set, but please feel free to share your faves):
via |
Philadelphia, PA…I am going to the Flower Show with my sister for a girl’s weekend…what else should we see/do/eat?
via |
Washington, DC…I will be visiting my daughter and she always has a list of mile long of places to try, but we are always open to suggestions!
via |
Los Angeles, CA…I have a few faves in LA, but it has been a few years since I have been there. Would love restaurant and cool shopping ideas!
via |
Laguna Beach, CA…I haven’t been to the OC in ages, so any advice would be helpful!
via |
San Diego, CA…We are visiting my son so he will show us around, but if we want to see anything beyond the best surf breaks and the taco joints, we might need some help!
via |
Palm Beach, FL…One of my favorite places, but it has been a few years and since I am sure things have changed, I would love some suggestions (especially for shopping).
Feel free to leave a comment or send me an e-mail with all your wonderful tips! And, of course, when I return from each trip, I will share all of my favorite places with you!
Also, if any of you are traveling and want suggestions, just let me know and I will ask all of my readers to come up with a great list for your destination.
While my days are consumed with all things travel related, I certainly haven’t been everywhere or seen everything! There is no better recommendation than a referral from a friend…and we are all friends here, aren’t we?
Have a fabulous MARCH weekend…wherever you may be wandering!
xoxo

Sandy,
The Thomas Bond House in Philadelphia is great, it is in the historic district and is quaint with a wonderful history. As you have a hotel you may need to save this for next time.
The Rodin Museum, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the University of Pennsylvania Archeological Museum are just a few of my favorite places to visit. Of course the Longwood Garden too.
The Reading Terminal Market has lots of interesting foods and it has an outlet of the Metropolitan Bakery another place I love.
These are just a few of my suggestions for Philly, I will ponder the others and let you know.
Have a great weekend.

Sandy,
So many fun trips coming up for you!!! I wish I could help, but I either haven't been or it's been a long time. If you ever need help with Dallas or Charlotte, I can fix you up! Dallas was in the high 70s this past week and I have my fingers crossed that it will be that way in a week when I take the boys!!
Happy travel planning!
