Recently, I was helping a client book an anniversary trip. Even though her anniversary is in December, she wanted to travel in January since December gets so busy with holiday activities. What she didn’t realize was that the hotel rates in the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida for the first three weeks of December are half what they are in January!
SO…if you were thinking of planning a trip for early in the year, you might want to consider clearing your calendar for a few days and going in December instead!

And what a great idea to slip away in the midst of the December craziness! I understand your client's inclination to stick around in December, but it probably would be relaxing to disappear for a few days!
Hey Sandy, so true. Some of my friends are going on a Carribean cruise in January, I'm dying to find a way to go with them as I love cruising. I would like to be by myself, with my friends on board so I can have companionship when I wanted it. :)'s
The tropics have always been my favorite go to vacation. I would love warm temps in the middle of nasty weather! Keep us dreaming Sandy!

Hmmmm… Duly noted. I always thought that January would be better than February or March because of spring break but hadn't thought about December being better still.
Now if that's not a good reason to plan an impromptu getaway, what is! Who knew…I would have thought it would be high season. Good info!!
