I was fortunate enough to accompany my niece on the photo shoot for her bridal portrait at Lowndes Grove, a plantation on the banks of the Ashley River in the heart of Charleston. It is available hourly for things such as our photo shoot but is also a very popular place for weddings and other events. There are also several guest suites available in the main house as well as in the adjacent River House.
We pretty much had run of the house for the photo shoot…it was incredible to be able to wander from room to room in this grand plantation house. I tried to take as many pictures as I was able without disturbing the professional photographer.

I love that mantle! Gorgeous photos:) the staircase makes me dizzy! I'm not sure I could go up and down it routinely.

I just love Charleston. Lowndes Grove is a beautiful place, she couldn't have picked a better location. My favorite picture is the staircase!
