Hi everyone!!! I am back! Six cities in eighteen days, six flights (for a total of forty six hours in the air), seven hotels rooms, two bullet trains, multiple time zones and two tired feet later…it feels good to be home.
We had a blast! It was one of those trips that went absolutely perfectly from start to finish and I can’t wait to share all the details with you. It will take me while to organize my nearly 2000 photos and figure out how I am going to put everything into a series of coherent blog posts, but I promise to be back to regular programming by next week.

I was so proud of myself for not succumbing to jet lag on the way over, only to be hit HARD on the return – the past two nights I have been wide awake at 2:30 am and unable to fall back asleep, which is turning my days a bit upside down. My husband seems to have found the solution to avoiding jet lag – he doesn’t at all sleep on the plane and seems to be adjusting fine. I fully intend to research this topic for a future post – feel free to pass along any tips! Hopefully, with the weekend to relax, I will be back to normal by Monday.

Thank you to all of the lovely ladies who helped me out with guest posts while I was traveling – Patricia (PvE Design), Elizabeth (Pretty Pink Tulips), Mo (Mocadeaux), Elizabeth (Pine Cones and Acorns) and Tina (The Enchanted Home) really stepped up to the plate and kept things rolling while I was away! I am so blessed to have all of you as my friends!
Also, thanks to all of you who followed along with me on Instagram – it was fun to share snapshots of my days with you and I really enjoyed reading all of your comments. I am excited to share more details about my trip with you starting on Monday – be sure to check back then. I also have a fun giveaway planned for next week that you will not want to miss.
Have a fabulous weekend, my dears…wherever you may be wandering…as for me, I am happy to be home sweet home for the weekend!
xoxo

Welcome back, Sandy! I'm so glad the trip was such a success and can't wait to hear all about it! Your Instagram photos were so fun to see. Thanks for taking us along with you via pictures! Good luck with the jet lag – I always have a really tough time on the return. Have you tried melatonin? It really helps me. And I have to say, the past couple times I've traveled I've had prescriptions for ambien and it has made a world of difference, especially when I return to my own time zone.
Hope you shake out the cobwebs soon! Can't wait to hear more. XOXOO

Welcome back, Sandy! I'm looking forward to seeing your photos (you have quite a job now to sort through them all) and reading your impressions. Jet lag is the downside and I've tried various methods to alleviate the effects but I now try to stay up until night time when I reach my destination but it is hard!

Welcome home, Sandy, and it looks like you had an amazing time. Our husbands have just returned from Asia and they don't sleep on the plane back either – perhaps it's a guy thing! We can't to hear/read all about your trip. Have a relaxing weekend.

Welcome home! Jet lag is such a strange feeling but as my son's pediatrician advised when we traveled , "do as the sun and the moon" – which always worked! Stay hydrated and active all day and then at night, you'll sleep!
I am looking forward to seeing your posts and surely your spin will be amazing.

Wow Sandy, now THAT'S a lot of trains, planes, and travel fun! No wonder you are suffering from jet lag…….. I'm not sure how to make it any easier to get your system back on track other than to just force yourself to stay awake and hope that your body will eventually give in and allow you to sleep. When we were in Europe last year, my naturopath told me to us Melatonin but it didn't seem to help.
I'm looking forward to hearing more details and have enjoyed your instagram photos:) Have a wonderful weekend.
