Happy Friday!! I think it is finally supposed to warm up a tiny bit this weekend – I hope so!
After a week of tempting you with travels in Sicily, sailing in the BVI and flying off spur of the moment to Hawaii, I hope you enjoy some of things that hit up on my radar screen this week:

I would LOVE to take this trip offered by Food 52 – Tuscan cooking classes, olive oil and wine tastings sound almost perfect to me.

Have you ever traveled by train? With these train trips from Destinations Travel Magazine, the journey, rather than the destination, is the most important part of the trip. I have always dreamed of taking the Orient Express from London to Venice. (Shameless plug – while you are perusing the latest issue of Destinations, don’t miss my article on handling travel emergencies!)

I could spend hours in bookstores…check out America’s Top Bookstores according to Travel and Leisure magazine. What is your favorite bookstore? I love Strand in New York, Kramer Books in Washington, DC (they also serve an amazing brunch) and, of course, Shakespeare and Company in Paris.
Speaking of books, what are you reading these days? I am finishing up Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver – it’s was a little slow at first, but I am really enjoying it now.
Have a lovely (and hopefully, a warmer) weekend wherever you may be wandering!

I would love to take a food tour of any kind. Classes, no classes…as long as there is wine and food, I'm good. I am semi claustrophobic, so a really long train trip would not appeal to me. As for the books, just college prep stuff at the moment.

Hello!
Just stopping in to tell you I have enjoyed all of your posts this week, I just did not have time to comment…I have to be better this week.
Thank you for your lovely comments at my blog.
I LOVE Destinations magazine, I have to go to find your article! I did not know you wrote for them.
As for books stores, frankly I have never met one I did not like. I just finished this weekend, A Soft Place to Land by Susan Rebecca White and Homecoming by Cathy Kelly.
Oh before I forget, although I love Angelina, the best Hot Chocolate I had in Paris this past December was at the Cafe London Paris, across from the right side of the Madeline, if you are standing in front of it! It was excellent and a great place to people watch.
Enjoy your week!
